  5. If you surf the web a lot, you know what a pain it is remembering 
  6. your different names and passwords for all the sites you visit. 
  7. That's where the Password Bank can help. The Password Bank stores 
  8. your names and passwords for you and then enters them automatically! 
  9.

  11. Trial Limitations
  12. -----------------
  13. This trial version gives you all the features of our regular version 
  14. for a period of 60 days. The only difference is that it will show an 
  15. opening screen reminding how many days are left. After the 60 days 
  16. are up, you can still run the program and view your passwords. 
  17. However, you can't change any information or use the auto-linking 
  18. feature.

  20. You can install the registered version over the trial version and 
  21. all your usernames and passwords are saved.

  26. - Windows 3.1 or Windows 95
  27. - (Runs on Windows NT but auto-linking doesn't work)

  32. Installation
  33. ------------
  34. Before starting the setup program, be sure to close Outlook 98 
  35. because it will cause the setup program to run very slowly or crash.

  37. It is also a good idea to close all other running programs before
  38. starting.

  40. To start the setup program, double-click on SETUP.EXE. (It might 
  41. also be called something else like PBT10.EXE.) The setup program 
  42. will guide you through the installation process.

  44. All files will be copied to the subdirectory you specify. No files
  45. will be copied to your \WINDOWS subdirectories.

  48. Un-installation
  49. ---------------
  50. To remove the Password Bank, double-click the Uninstall icon in the 
  51. Passbank program group. It will leave the data files with your 
  52. usernames and passwords in case you want to install the registered 
  53. version. If desired, you can delete these files manually.

  56. Quick Start
  57. -----------
  58. Start by entering all your usernames and passwords and then minimize 
  59. the Password Bank. Now start surfing. The first time you visit a 
  60. site with a password, right-click the Password Bank icon and select 
  61. "Create Link". Click on the username and password fields and you're 
  62. done! Next time you visit this site, your username and password will 
  63. be entered automatically.

  68. - Would you like to protect your passwords so no-one else can access 
  69. them? Setup a Master Password.

  71. - Do you want to briefly see your password? Press the <space> bar.

  73. - Would you like to be reminded to change your passwords 
  74. periodically? Specify an "expiration date".

  76. - Would you like to use stronger passwords? The Password Bank will 
  77. guide you with some suggestions.

  79. - Do you want the strongest possible password? Let the "Generate" 
  80. feature create a random password for you.

  82. - Would you like to jump to a web site right from the Password Bank? 
  83. Enter the web site address along with the password.

  85. - Would you like to keep other notes along with each password? You 
  86. can with the Password Bank.

  88. - Would you like to quickly enter the username and password without 
  89. having to setup a link? Select Actions|Enter Name/Password.

  91. - Would you like to copy the username or password to the clipboard 
  92. so you can paste it in another program? Look under the Edit menu for 
  93. Copy Login or Copy Password.
